As digital transformation enters the deep water zone, computing power is driving the fourth industrial revolution forward. As the cornerstone of connecting the digital world, general-purpose servers can only enable people to better embrace the power of digital itself if they have better performance and higher cost-effectiveness.

Zhongke Control is a leading information technology industrialization company in China. It has a full-stack product line from terminals to servers, and even networks and edges, and can provide customers in various industries with safe, easy-to-use, versatile and reliable products and solutions. It can be seen that independent innovation is the ultimate goal that this company pursues forever.
Recently, Zhongke Control stepped out of the "comfort zone" of information innovation and launched the general server rack product Suma R520 H40. Performance is one of the biggest highlights of this product. As a product equipped with a domestic x86 processor, it can not only meet the urgent need for upgrading old server equipment, but also meet the security and stability needs of enterprise-level users.

In the CPU cache latency test, Hygon's L1 latency is 1.6ns, while Intel's two silver products are 1.8ns and 1.73ns, respectively, which are basically the same results; Hygon's L2 latency is 4.2ns, while Intel's two silver products are 5.1ns and 4.83ns, respectively, with a significant gap; Hygon's L3 latency is 12.5ns, while Intel's two silver products are 20.9ns and 21.4ns, respectively, with a gap of more than 8ns.
In other words, Hygon can significantly improve CPU performance with lower cache latency.

Note: The lower the value in this test, the better the performance
In the memory bandwidth efficiency test, Hygon's memory bandwidth efficiency reached 88.99%, while Intel's two silver products were 71.25% and 71.4% respectively, a gap of nearly 17%.
This means that ultra-high memory bandwidth efficiency can bring very good performance.

Note: The higher the score in this test, the better
In the Stream test, the maximum sustainable memory bandwidth of Haiguang's Copy (copy operation) is 149705 Mbps, the maximum sustainable memory bandwidth of Scale (multiplication operation) is 149807.33 Mbps, the maximum sustainable memory bandwidth of Add (addition operation) is 150943.67 Mbps, and the maximum sustainable memory bandwidth of Triad (the combination of the previous three operations) is 150628.67 Mbps. Overall, it has reached the international mainstream level.

Note: This test is the average value of multiple measurements
In the memory bandwidth test, Hygon's overall bandwidth in the 2-memory solution, 4-memory solution, and 8-memory solution is 25.21% higher than Intel Silver, and memory data transmission is faster.
picture
Note: In this test, the higher the value, the better
In the hard disk read and write performance test, Hygon's sequential read and write performance and random read and write performance are on par with Intel Silver.
This means that the large-block data reading and writing performance and small-block data transmission speed of the R520 H40 system equipped with Hygon have reached the international mainstream level, and the server storage system using R520 H40 will have a faster response speed.

Note: In this test, the larger the value, the stronger the storage capacity of the server system and the faster the response speed
In the network card transmission performance test, Hygon's performance was still on par with Intel's silver medal, indicating that the system's network processing capabilities and CPU interrupt processing capabilities have reached the international advanced level.

Note: The higher the value in this test, the more data is transmitted per second, and the better the CPU's ability to handle interrupts
In addition, in the DPDK RFC 2544 test, the throughput, packet loss rate, latency and other data are all on par with Intel Silver. The throughput rates of 64 bytes, 128 bytes, 256 bytes, 512 bytes and 1518 bytes are all 100%, the same as Intel Silver. This means that under different loads, Haiguang can have very good performance.
It is worth mentioning that in the 7Zip compression test, image processing capability test, AI reasoning performance test Deep Sjeng WC2008, benchmark test Coremark, and SpecPower008_ssj test, Haiguang's scores are higher than Intel's silver medal.
The above tests are the most common benchmark tests in servers, which means that when the excellent performance of CPU, cache, memory, hard disk, etc. collides together, Haiguang can release very strong productivity, whether it is various general computing tasks, or compression, image processing, AI reasoning, it can easily handle it.

Upgrade your cloud server to realize its value
Although AI servers are the main growth point of the existing market in the AI boom, the demand for general servers has increased instead of decreased, especially the purchase volume of domestic servers is rising rapidly. For example, China Telecom's purchase volume of domestic processor chip servers from 2021 to 2022 has exceeded a quarter of the total purchase volume, and domestic bank customers are leaning towards domestic processor chip servers.
Data shows that the global general-purpose server market size will be approximately RMB 578.9 billion in 2023 and is expected to reach RMB 843.1 billion in 2030. In 2023, the shipment volume of the Chinese x86 server market reached 3.62 million units, and is expected to grow by 5.7% in 2024. It can be said that the purchase of general-purpose servers has entered a normalized stage.
In the general server field, the competition is not limited to performance, but all-round capabilities and super scalability. The value enhancement that the Zhongke Controllable R520 H40 can provide is undoubtedly all-round.
First, in terms of processor, the R520 H40 is equipped with a 16-core Haiguang general-purpose processor with a main frequency of up to 3.0GHz and supports up to 32 physical cores in two channels. It is not difficult to see from the above tests that this domestic CPU is very powerful. In addition, Haiguang is compatible with the mainstream x86 architecture in the market, so it has a mature and rich application ecosystem, which can adapt to millions of software systems and meet the various needs of downstream customers.
Second, in terms of memory, it supports up to 16x 3200 MHz DDR4 memory, supports RDIMM memory, and supports ECC. Through testing, it is not difficult to see that its memory has the characteristics of large capacity and high bandwidth, which can fully release the performance of the server.
Third, in terms of storage, the R520 H40 is not only comparable to international mainstream products in terms of read and write capabilities, but also has very powerful expansion capabilities. It supports up to 14 optional disks to meet the needs of different business scenarios. At the same time, the R520 H40 supports Cache supercapacitor protection, and provides RAID state migration, RAID configuration memory and other functions, bringing convenient operation and maintenance experience to enterprise users.
Fourth, in terms of overall design, the compact appearance, rich port resources, and super expandability allow users to choose their own products at will, which complies with the requirements of general servers for applicability. In addition, key components are lead-free (ROHS) and the packaging materials are reusable, which is environmentally friendly and realizes a closed loop of circular economy.
Fifth, in terms of green energy saving, the R520 H40 not only has many sophisticated functions inside to help users achieve energy-saving goals, but it is undoubtedly in line with the market trend as data centers are increasingly pursuing low-carbon and environmentally friendly concepts.
Sixth, in terms of the system, it not only supports mainstream foreign server operating systems, but also supports mainstream domestic server operating systems such as Fangde/Qilin/Ningsi/UOS/RedFlag/Rocky/OpenEuler to obtain the best security and reliability.
In short, the powerful performance, security and reliability of R520 H40 controlled by Zhongke have brought great surprises to people, which will inject new vitality into the Chinese general server market.
