Overview
Applications
The KEMET ALF20 capacitors are ideally suited for
industrial and commercial applications, demanding high
reliability and long life expectancy. Typical applications
include frequency converters, advanced energy storage
systems, and switch mode power supplies (SMPS).
The KEMET ALF20 Press-Fit capacitors eliminate the
need for solder, and therefore, the associated production
and quality issues. They are the next evolution of snap-in
capacitors, providing reliable electrical contact and the
same vibration performance as soldered snap-in terminals.
The ALF20 offers high voltages up to 600 VDC, high ripple
currents, good surge voltage capability, and a very long life
performance.

thick PCB copper tracks which act as heat-sinks
• Eliminates fractured solder joints/cold-solder
• Skipping the solder operation allows for easy insertion
after the production washing process
