With the development of home audio and video, smart home, online games and other applications, the demand for bandwidth in home networks is growing. From the early Kbps to Mbps, and then to the Gbps that fiber-to-the-home generally supports today, the improvement in network speed is obvious. In addition, with the popularity of mobile devices such as mobile phones and tablets, more and more applications access home LANs via Wi-Fi instead of using wired Ethernet. This trend directly drives the increase in demand for Wi-Fi bandwidth. In this context, WPG launched the Wi-Fi 7 home gateway solution based on Qualcomm IPQ5322, QCN6422, QCN6432 and QCA8386 chips .

IPQ5322 is a highly integrated Wi-Fi 7 SoC designed for high-performance, energy-efficient wireless network applications, suitable for a variety of scenarios such as home routers, mesh nodes, operator gateways, and enterprise access points. The chip contains a Wi-Fi subsystem that supports the 2.4GHz 2×2/40 IEEE802.11be standard and can be configured with different Wi-Fi 7 wireless transceiver chips through the PCIe interface. In addition, its network subsystem supports a variety of interfaces, including two USXGMII, SGMII+, SGMII interfaces, and two SerDes interfaces that support external 10/5/2.5/1 GbE PHYs.

QCN6422/QCN6432 is a 802.11be Wi-Fi 7 PCIe wireless transceiver chip designed for home routers. It uses a full CMOS system-on-chip and supports 5/6GHz IEEE 802.11BE/AX/AC/N/A/B/G/N applications. In addition, QCN6432 has AP and STA functions with 2 spatial streams and is a native 320MHz Wi-Fi 7 wireless transceiver chip.

QCA8386 is a highly integrated six-port 4x2.5G switch equipped with a non-blocking switching matrix and a high-performance lookup unit, supporting 2048 MAC addresses and equipped with four traffic class quality of service (QoS) engines. This product is designed for cost-sensitive wireless access point routers and home gateway applications, providing efficient and economical network solutions.
