On November 14, Qualcomm announced the launch of two connectivity modules, QCC74xM and QCC730M, for IoT applications such as smart homes and smart appliances. These two modules are now available for sampling and will be available in the first half of 2025.
Among them, QCC74xM adopts RISC-V architecture and programmable design, and is Qualcomm's first similar product. The module has rich multimedia functions, supports CAN and Ethernet interfaces, and is compatible with Wi-Fi 6 1T1R 40MHz and IEEE 802.15.4 (IT Home Note: the bottom layer of Zigbee) in terms of wireless protocols. Bluetooth 5.3 certification is also in progress.
The QCC74xM module is suitable for applications such as smart home central control screens, gateways, smart locks, and IP cameras.
The QCC730M is a micro-power dual-band Wi-Fi 4 wireless module with a built-in dedicated 60MHz MCU, integrated 640kB SRAM and 1.5MB non-volatile RRAM storage, suitable for applications such as IP cameras, smart locks, and sensors.
