The Hyperlux LP image sensor series is based on 1.4 µm pixels, providing industry-leading image quality and low power consumption while significantly improving image performance, capturing clear and vivid images even in harsh lighting conditions, making it suitable for a variety of applications such as access control, biometrics, surveillance, security, industrial automation, public and civil safety, and video conferencing.

Hyperlux LP image sensors feature:

  • Wake-on-Motion - The sensor can operate in ultra-low power mode, consuming only a fraction of the power required in full-function mode. Once the sensor detects motion, it quickly enters a higher performance state with faster response time.

  • Smart ROI - Provides multiple regions of interest (ROIs), providing multi-window views of the scene at lower bandwidth while providing windows of pristine image detail.

  • Near-Infrared (NIR) Performance - Superior image quality in the near-infrared band thanks to innovative silicon process design and pixel architecture.

  • Low power consumption - This reduces image quality issues caused by thermal noise and also reduces the need for heat sinks, thus reducing the overall cost of the vision system.

This product series also adopts a stacked architecture design to minimize the product size. The smallest model is as small as a grain of rice, making it an ideal choice for compact devices that are troubled by size constraints. Customers can choose the 5-megapixel resolution AR0544, the 8-megapixel resolution AR0830 or the 20-megapixel resolution AR2020 according to their usage.

The Hyperlux LP sensors are differentiated in terms of power consumption and architecture. The series is specifically built and designed to achieve low power consumption. To further improve the silicon architecture, Hyperlux LP sensors also have purpose-oriented functions such as motion wake-up (WOM) and SmartROI, which are very useful in various industrial and commercial applications. These features enable Hyperlux LP sensors to trade off between bandwidth and power consumption, allowing vision systems to operate in extremely low power modes. Traditional sensors do not have relevant functions, often require expensive power electronics and occupy (electronic device) space, and cannot achieve ideal image quality.

The Hyperlux LP sensor has been shortlisted for the 20th annual Best Product Award. The annual CONTROL ENGINEERING China Product Award is one of the most authoritative product selection events in China's industrial control, automation and instrumentation fields. It has been held for 20 consecutive years since 2004.
