bq769x0, recharging problem after undervoltage [Copy link]

Same port, bq769x0, recharging problem after undervoltage (delay 1 second)

If the undervoltage threshold is set to 2.8V, the battery pack will be powered off after undervoltage protection. After a period of time, the battery drops to 2.6V.

If charging is performed at this time, the charge and discharge MOS is turned on, but undervoltage occurs (because the voltage has not yet risen to 2.8v), the discharge MOS will be turned off.

This will cause repeated on and off oscillations of about 1 second. How do you deal with this problem?

1 second delay is indeed a bit short Can you please delay the observation?   Details Published on 2021-6-14 10:58

Properly extend the undervoltage detection cycle, that is, the "1 second" mentioned in the original post, for example, extend it to 10 seconds before testing. The specific selection should be based on the capacity of the battery. The larger the capacity of the battery, the longer the detection cycle should be.
