The 10th Core Power Cloud Roadshow (Optoelectronics) was successfully held on April 22 (last Wednesday), bringing three excellent domestic optoelectronic chip projects. After the roadshow, Jiwei.com arranged a second round of closed communication between the intended institutions and the projects. In the end, all three projects reached an intention to sign NDAs with more than five investment institutions. Based on the results of this stage, the next round of investment research will be fully launched.

During the epidemic, in order to help investment institutions and projects better connect, Jiwei.com held a cloud roadshow for the Core Power Project every Wednesday. Each session invited 3-4 projects, and held an online closed-door meeting through the registration of investment institutions. At the meeting, investors filled in the institutions of interest by scanning the QR code shared by Jiwei.com. After the meeting, Jiwei.com sorted out the list of institutions interested in each project and sent it to the project for reverse screening on the day of the meeting. After the screening, Jiwei.com will arrange a small-scale closed-door connection between the intended projects and the intended institutions within two days to deepen communication and ultimately facilitate the successful connection between some institutions and projects. The cycle from preparation to successful connection between institutions and projects for each cloud roadshow is 7 days. Jiwei.com hopes to continue to build an effective communication bridge between institutions and projects online at this pace.

The projects participating in the tenth cloud roadshow are: Shenzhen Lemon Photonics Technology Co., Ltd., Suzhou MiTu Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., and Suzhou Yirui Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. The three excellent optoelectronic chip projects attracted the attention of many investment institutions. A total of 237 people with real-name authentication attended the meeting, of which investment institution executives accounted for 22.4% of the total number of participants, investment institution managers/directors accounted for 49.7%, and corporate executives accounted for 8.9%.

According to the final voting feedback information, a total of 49 valid questionnaires were collected, of which Lemon Photonics received 30 votes; MiTu Optoelectronics received 28 votes; and Yirui Optoelectronics received 32 votes.

After the second round of small-scale closed exchanges, the three projects finally reached an intention to sign NDAs with more than five investment institutions, and the tenth cloud roadshow also came to a perfect conclusion.

The list of investment institutions that have reached an agreement with the project owner is as follows:

Institutions that have reached an agreement with Lemon Photonics: Xiamen Semiconductor, Fortune Capital, Puhua Capital, Huatai Direct Investment, Yonghua Investment, etc.

Institutions that have reached an agreement with MiTu Optoelectronics: Skyworth Investment, Furong Investment, Guohai Innovation, Xiamen Falcon, etc.

Institutions that have reached an agreement with Yirui Optoelectronics: Shenzhen Capital Group, Goldman Sachs International, Lenovo Capital, Thailand Junan Securities, Zhongguancun Synergy Fund, etc.

Shenzhen Lemon Photonics Technology Co., Ltd. is committed to the research and development and industrialization of contemporary and new generation semiconductor laser chip technologies. The core team has held core positions in top American laser companies and has more than 10 years of experience in the industrialization of the laser industry. The latest VCSEL chip has completed preparations for mass production, and has been fully promoted and entered into the incremental consumer market, and has achieved client product verification and introduction. HCSEL chip samples have been verified at the client. Cui Wanpeng, an investor at Yonghua Investment, believes that the project has great potential: "The application of optical communications and 3D biometrics currently has a very low domestic production rate. I think it is possible to use the fabless mode to make optical chips." Li Xuelai, an investor at Dachen Capital, said: "I am optimistic about the team's technical capabilities and the company's product layout."

The founding team of Suzhou MiTu Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. has more than 20 years of experience in the research and development and management of analog, RF, and high-speed electrical chips. It has signed a cooperation agreement with a well-known domestic optical module company to jointly develop high-speed electrical chips for different scenarios, and many chips have been tapeout in early 2020. Zhang Weifeng, an investor from Shanghai Furong Investment, is optimistic about the project: "The industry has high technical barriers, the team has strong technical research and development accumulation and innovation, the company's goals are clear, and the market strategy is reasonable." Ma Youjie, an investor from Skyworth Investment, commented: "The founding team has the successful mass production experience of benchmark companies in the industry and relatively deep industry accumulation, and has a high starting point; there are not many domestic companies that are truly good in the Tia field, and there are still market opportunities; in terms of market entry point, it is more pragmatic."

Suzhou Yirui Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. was founded by integrated optoelectronics experts from Bell Labs in the United States. It has a research and development team of more than 50 people in Silicon Valley, the United States and Suzhou, China. It is one of the few optical module manufacturers in China that has the ability to manufacture optical chips from post-processing to high-speed device packaging. It has shipped batches of high-speed optical modules for 5G fronthaul and mid-haul to leading companies in the industry. Since last year, sales have doubled. Yu Xiang, an investor of Gundam International, commented: "5G macro base stations and data centers are a big market. The company's optical modules have already been shipped and have great potential."

With the assistance of Jiwei.com, investment institutions have established contact with three projects, and the next round of investment research is about to be fully launched.

The 10th Core Power·Cloud Roadshow has been successfully concluded. There will be more exciting projects participating in the show in the future. If you want to sign up for the conference, please pay close attention to the preview of Jiwei.com.
