According to the WeChat official account of Changxin Memory, Changxin Memory Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Changxin Memory") and American semiconductor company Rambus Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Rambus") recently signed a patent license agreement.
According to this agreement, Changxin Memory obtained a large number of dynamic random access memory (hereinafter referred to as "DRAM") technology patents from Lanboshi for implementation. However, according to the agreement reached by both parties, other details of this agreement will not be disclosed.
It is reported that both Changxin Memory and Bluehost have expressed high recognition of the signed agreement. Zhu Yiming, Chairman and CEO of Changxin Memory, said: "The agreement reached with Bluehost once again shows that Changxin Memory attaches great importance to international rules related to intellectual property rights and continues to strengthen its intellectual property portfolio. The company is committed to continuously increasing its accumulation of semiconductor core technologies and high-value intellectual property rights through independent research and development and international cooperation, and on this basis, it will achieve sustainable development and steadily improve its market competitiveness."
According to Jiwei.com, Changxin Storage announced in December last year that it had reached a patent licensing agreement and patent purchase agreement with Polaris Innovations Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of WiLAN, for DRAM patents developed by Qimonda, a former dynamic random access memory chip manufacturer. It is understood that Changxin Storage has acquired more than 10 million technical documents related to DRAM (about 2.8TB of data) through cooperation with Qimonda.
In addition, Zhu Yiming revealed in May last year that Changxin completed the construction of the wafer factory in 14 months, spending a total of US$2.5 billion on R&D and capital expenditures. Zhu Yiming also emphasized that Hefei Changxin has a compliant and complete source of technology, and attaches importance to intellectual property rights. Changxin has a total of 16,000 patent applications, and the company has obtained a large number of patents and has unique technologies.
