At the 12th China Hard Technology Industry Chain Innovation Trend Summit held recently, Qorvo China Senior Sales Director Jiang Xiong shared Qorvo's technological innovation and market opportunities under the new generation of 5G applications. Qorvo has been deeply rooted in China for more than 20 years, and its products are widely used in the fields of Internet mobility, power appliances, AI servers and automobiles. Jiang Xiong said that with the popularization of the new generation of 5G applications, the market demand for technological innovation is becoming more urgent. Qorvo is innovating in four aspects to lead the development of mobile devices, including RF front-end, UWB, sensors and power management.

Update and evolution of mobile applications
As the world's leading RF front-end supplier, Qorvo is constantly pursuing innovative system-level solutions. Jiang Xiong briefly described Qorvo's technological innovation. From the perspective of RF front-end solutions, from Phase 2 to Phase 8, the area of the RF front-end has been saved by more than 50%, while the current power has been improved, achieving multi-faceted savings in space, power consumption and cost.
From the perspective of antenna solutions, Qorvo is the first foreign brand to introduce the ACS TUNER antenna solution to China, which has now been widely used.
In terms of filters, it has evolved to the seventh generation, with better performance in terms of size, Insertion Loss and out-of-band suppression.
In addition, Wi-Fi has also evolved from Wi-Fi 6 to Wi-Fi 7, with faster downlink rates. Many products this fall have adopted Wi-Fi 7.

Future Prospects of UWB Technology
Jiang Xiong said that UWB was initially adopted by only Apple, but now more and more domestic manufacturers have also incorporated it into their flagship phones, and its application is becoming increasingly widespread.
UWB technology can achieve accurate positioning, and for this reason, the new UWB technology in the future can be applied not only to car keys, but also to laptops to complete the function of approaching to unlock. Jiang Xiong said that in the future, UWB technology will use mobile phones as the main carrier and expand to more applications. At the same time, UWB is essentially a data transmission technology, so it can also provide faster data transmission through a wider bandwidth, and can be applied to scenes such as Hi-Fi audio game controllers. Nowadays, BLE positioning accuracy is getting better and better. In addition to accurate positioning and better user experience, UWB is also the safest entry system and anti-attack technology, which makes UWB and BLE have great advantages in car key applications. In addition, the on-board UWB radar can also realize safe and convenient applications such as liveness detection and kicking.

Pressure sensor: human-machine interaction switch
Qorvo's pressure sensor has the characteristics of ultra-small size, ultra-low power consumption, high sensitivity and meeting the AECQ100 standard. It has been used in multiple brands of cars. Pressure sensors are more waterproof, oil-proof and anti-mistouch than capacitive sensors, and can be used with gloves. By constructing a variety of sensor installation methods such as direct pressure and back-sticking, the personalized needs for sensitivity and production processes in different application scenarios are met. Jiang Xiong said that from the current product form, in addition to the traditional separation solution, the fusion solution that integrates the infrared reception function is also very popular in the market. Qorvo can also provide software and system integration support.
In addition, for mobile phone applications, Force Sensors can replace physical switches and buttons to achieve "touch" / "slide" functions, or the "menu" / "volume" buttons on the side, or identify three-dimensional position information (3D Touch function). Qorvo can provide software and system integration support including stacking reference design, system mechanics simulation, and electromechanical models.
In addition, Qorvo has also invested a lot in power devices, acquiring UnitedSiC and ActiSemi, and is committed to SiC research and development and motor control and power management applications. These technologies are widely used in AI servers and other fields.
