In order to fully implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the Central Talent Work Conference, and enhance the ability to independently cultivate outstanding engineers, China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and domestic energy leading enterprises jointly established the first National Excellent Engineers College in the energy field with the approval of the Ministry of Education. China Shipping Energy Storage Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Shipping Energy Storage) and large state-owned enterprises such as China Academy of Mechanical Science Group, State Energy Group, and China National Offshore Oil Corporation, as well as first-class private enterprises such as Beijing Huawei Digital Technology Co., Ltd. and Alibaba Cloud Computing Co., Ltd., a total of 12 units have become members of the Board of Directors of the National Excellent Engineers College of China University of Petroleum (Beijing).
On May 7, China University of Petroleum (Beijing) held the first meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Academy of Excellent Engineers and a meeting to promote the construction of the National Academy of Excellent Engineers.
The first meeting of the board of directors was chaired by Jin Yan, president of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and president of the National Academy of Excellent Engineers. The meeting notified the list of governing units and reviewed and approved the charter of the board of directors. Representatives of 12 governing units including CNOOC Energy Storage and relevant persons in charge attended the meeting.
At the promotion meeting, under the witness of all participants, Dejifu, the second-level researcher of the Department of Degree Management and Graduate Education of the Ministry of Education, Wang Tongqi, the Party Secretary of the University, and the leaders of the Chairman and Vice Chairman units jointly unveiled the China University of Petroleum (Beijing) National Excellent Engineer College. Wen Yonghong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China University of Petroleum (Beijing), and Zhang Guangqing, Vice President, presented the plaque to the member units of the Board of Directors.
For a long time, COSCO Energy Storage, as the "chain leader" of the iron-chromium flow battery industry, has relied on the national energy storage technology industry-education integration innovation platform, based on the needs of energy strategic development, integrated new quality productivity, and cooperated with China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and China Academy of Mechanical Sciences Group to build and develop research and development. Through the strong combination of science and technology highlands, talent highlands, and industrial highlands, it has carried out multi-faceted cooperation in the whole process, including core technology research, industrial development, high-end talent training, and technical standard system construction, accelerating the in-depth integration of industry, academia, research, and application. The construction of the Guozhuo College platform has introduced more state-owned energy central enterprises and first-class private enterprises, which has broadened resources for the three parties to continue to deepen industry, academia, research, and application, and has injected stronger impetus to help the iron-chromium flow battery industry extend, supplement, and strengthen the chain and promote high-quality energy development.
President Jin Yan of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) expressed warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the representatives of the council units, and briefly introduced the cooperation and co-construction between the school and China Academy of Mechanical Science Group, China Energy Storage and other enterprises. He said that the National College of Excellent Engineers of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) shoulders the important mission of cultivating excellent engineers in the energy field for the country's modernization construction, and bears the great responsibility of comprehensively improving the quality of independent talent training. The school will take this opportunity to actively play its advantages in talent training and supply, mutual sharing of production and education resources, scientific research innovation and services, build a demand-oriented professional system, deepen the system and mechanism of deep integration of schools and enterprises, and continue to promote the upgrading of the concept, system and model of excellent engineer training, empower the industrial chain with the talent chain, promote the "four-chain integration" of the talent chain, education chain, industrial chain and innovation chain, and create a "model room" for the main force of engineering and technological innovation talent training in the energy field, form a new paradigm of joint training of excellent engineers, take the road of independent training of excellent engineers, and hand in an excellent answer to the contemporary proposition of "education power, what is the role of colleges and universities".
Wang Yu, member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of China Mechanical Science Research Institute Group Co., Ltd., reviewed the achievements of the tripartite cooperation with China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and China Ocean Storage in the fields of iron-chromium liquid flow energy storage battery materials, component manufacturing process equipment, and intelligent manufacturing production lines. He said that China Mechanical Science Research Institute is the only central enterprise whose main business is the research of basic common technologies for equipment manufacturing. At present, China Mechanical Science Research Institute actively responds to the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and comprehensively deepens the implementation of strategic initiatives for industrial mother machines and industrial software. It hopes to jointly promote the deepening and implementation of the various contents of the strategic cooperation agreement, and take the opportunity of joint training to strengthen cooperation in scientific research and development, talent training, and other fields in new energy and other fields.
