Intel strongly supports the establishment of CHIMA private hospital study group

2015 "Intel Cup" Internet of Things and Big Data Application Grand Prix Launched

June 12, 2015, Xiamen, China - Intel (China) Co., Ltd. once again appeared at the Chinese Hospital Information Network Conference with innovative medical model concepts and advanced medical information technology. As a long-term and powerful promoter of innovative medical models and information technology, Intel, together with representatives of private hospitals and industry partners, jointly promoted the establishment of the Private Hospital Study Group of the Information Management Professional Committee of the Chinese Hospital Association at this conference. At the same time, the 2015 "Intel Cup" Internet of Things and Big Data Application Grand Prix also kicked off. As an important measure to build a complete ecosystem in the field of medical informationization, this fully reflects that Intel has entered a new milestone in supporting technology development and service model innovation in the fields of mobile medical care, medical big data, and medical Internet of Things.

Medical model innovation promoted by multiple parties

According to the survey data of the "2014 Blue Book of Private Hospitals", the number of private medical institutions in my country has increased by 17% in recent years. By the end of 2014, the number of private hospitals had reached 12,166, accounting for 47.7% of the total number of hospitals in the country. "With the deepening of medical reform, especially the joint release of the "Several Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Socially-Run Medical Care" by the National Health and Family Planning Commission and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the state has continuously increased its support for private hospitals, and the "spring" of their development has arrived," said Huang Weidong, chairman and president of Jiayin Hospital Group. "With the support of national policies, the overall scale of private hospitals has gradually expanded, and their service capabilities have gradually improved. At the same time, leading information technology manufacturers such as Intel have joined hands with medical and health departments to support and promote the healthy development of private hospitals."

The rapid development of private healthcare provides patients with more convenient ways to seek medical treatment and helps the government ease the pressure of health needs. Informatization is an important means to accelerate the improvement of service levels and management model innovation in private hospitals. As a global leader in computing innovation, Intel has long focused on medical model innovation. This time, Intel has joined hands with software and hardware partners to support the establishment of the Private Hospital Study Group of the Information Management Professional Committee of the Chinese Hospital Association. It will provide innovative technical support and advanced concept guidance in the formulation of informatization standards, informatization construction, informatization talent training, and solution development, thereby helping private hospitals to achieve specialization and branding, strengthen cooperation with public hospitals, and face the general public, and make efforts to build a medical ecosystem.

Medical information development, innovative technology support

Intel not only focuses on the innovation of medical service models, but also continuously cooperates with partners to launch end-to-end solutions that meet the needs and development trends of medical institutions, so as to improve the service quality of medical institutions and meet the needs of patients. During the conference, Intel and partners such as Xiamen Zhiye Software Engineering Co., Ltd. and Chuangye Software Co., Ltd. jointly exhibited, among which the mobile medical solutions based on Intel architecture tablets and the complete digital hospital solutions became the focus of the exhibition area.

The 2015 "Intel Cup" Internet of Things and Big Data Application Grand Prix kicked off at the same time. As an important measure of Intel in medical informationization, this event fully demonstrates its efforts in working with partners to promote the development of medical informationization. "The application of innovative technologies has promoted the development of medical informationization. At present, we can see that the Internet of Things and big data applications are gradually being integrated into the medical industry, playing a huge role in promoting individualized health management and diagnosis and treatment throughout the life cycle, helping to stimulate and leverage innovation and changes in medical service models, further improve the level of medical services, and enhance patients' medical experience," said Liang Minghui, chairman of the Information Management Professional Committee of the Chinese Hospital Association. "This year, Intel held a competition on topics related to the Internet of Things and big data to build a platform for medical institutions and technology development units to explore in depth in this field. We look forward to its success."

In order to support the innovation of medical information technology and the vigorous development of the ecosystem, Intel has successfully supported the holding of two mobile medical good application competitions, and has made efforts to promote the deeper and broader development of mobile medical care. With the vigorous development of innovative technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, and wearables, Intel has also seen the broad development prospects and application value of these innovative technologies in the field of medical informationization, and actively supported the 2015 "Intel Cup" Internet of Things and Big Data Application Grand Prix to provide support for the continuous development and innovation of China's medical informationization.
