Connected electric vehicle charging stations

With the rapid development of electric vehicles, charging piles have become one of the most popular industries. We showcased an application example of a connected electric vehicle charging station.

  • The interconnected electric vehicle charging station displayed this time includes 3 electric vehicle charging equipment (EVSE). EVSE will send Texas Instruments ISO15118 data to a centralized gateway and display the charging status of each charger via a tablet GUI.

  • Each EVSE demonstrates Wi-Fi, Sub-1GHz, and Matter wireless communication protocols respectively.

High efficiency 3.6kW bidirectional resonant converter

In the Texas Instruments Renewable Energy booth, we showcased a photovoltaic inverter and home energy storage system. Among them, a high-efficiency 3.6kW bidirectional resonant converter from Texas Instruments is connected .

  • This 3.6kW system reference design (PMP41042) supports energy storage applications and provides high efficiency up to 97.4% .

  • The capacitor-inductor-inductor-inductor-capacitor (CLLLC) bidirectional converter design uses frequency and phase modulation to regulate the output over the desired regulation range.

  • Designers can use TI C2000™ microcontrollers for advanced control and TI integrated GaN driver and protection devices for higher efficiency and smaller solution size.

  • Featuring Texas Instruments' new battery monitor BQ79616 , battery cluster current and voltage monitor BQ79731, solid state relays, isolation and power supplies.

  • This BMS is designed to accurately measure and reliably protect lithium-ion and lithium iron phosphate battery cells in a variety of energy storage applications including domestic, industrial and commercial and grid-scale systems up to 1500V, ensuring the battery is operated safely and as accurately as possible Estimate remaining power.

  • By using Texas Instruments' gallium nitride technology , this microinverter has industry-leading power density and conversion efficiency, making it more compact, efficient and reliable. At the same time, Texas Instruments' C2000™ real-time MCU also helps this product realize complex Control algorithms make microinverters smarter.
