What is the TI LMZM2360x step-down power module? What does it do? August 23, 2018 – Mouser Electronics, an electronic component distributor focused on introducing new products to promote industry innovation, began distributing Texas Instruments (TI) LMZM23600 from now on and LMZM23601 step-down DC-DC power module. LMZM23601 is packaged in a compact 3.8 mm × 3 mm × 1.6 mm MicroSiP™ package, which can save up to 58% of circuit board space. It is an ultra-small 1A DC/DC power module in the industrial application market.
TI's 0.5 A LMZM23600 and 1 A LMZM23601 power modules are available from Mouser in fixed output voltage options of 3.3V and 5V, as well as adjustable output voltage options from 2.5 V to 15 V. These two modules have integrated inductors, support input voltages from 4V to 36V, and have an efficiency of up to 92%, which can minimize energy consumption. The 30 µA quiescent current improves light load efficiency and extends battery life in battery-powered applications.
The LMZM2360x power module requires only 2 external components to achieve fixed output voltage performance, providing designers with an easy-to-use solution and plug-and-play functionality. The two power modules are capable of seamless transition between forced PWM mode and automatic PFM mode, and enable constant frequency operation and high frequency operation at light loads. The modules are also optimized for performance-driven, low-EMI industrial applications, with built-in control loop compensation, soft-start, current-limit protection, and undervoltage lockout.
The LMZM2360x modules come with accompanying LMZM23600 and LMZM23601 evaluation modules, which are fully assembled and tested to help developers evaluate the features and performance of the power module. The LMZM236000 evaluation module supports all three output voltage options, while the LMZM23601 evaluation module supports an adjustable 2.5V to 15V voltage option.
The LMZM2360x power modules are ideal for space-constrained applications such as sensor transmitters, grid infrastructure, field emitters, ultrasonic scanners, and network security cameras. The above is the analysis of TI LMZM2360x step-down power module, I hope it can help you.
