TI ultra-low power wireless vibration sensor monitors motor reference design

Implement preventive maintenance, CR2032 button battery can provide power for 10 years

Overview
This reference design is a low-power wireless subsystem solution that uses vibration sensing to monitor motors to determine if preventive maintenance is needed. FFTs of vibration data can be sent to another device using Bluetooth Low Energy or sub-1GHz wireless protocols. The subsystem solution's low power consumption and wireless capabilities enable it to operate on a single coin cell battery, allowing devices to be small, inexpensive and placed in hard-to-reach locations. This makes this reference design an ideal alternative to preventatively avoidable costly maintenance and the need for larger, more expensive displays that require wired connections. Features - Ultra-low power design enables up to 10 years battery life on a single CR2032 coin cell - Provides mechanical vibration (20ksps) and temperature sensing - 2K FFT local computation for vibration spectrum analysis - Programmable wake-up for motor diagnostics Spacing - Designed for SimpleLink sub-1GHz and Bluetooth Low Energy Wireless LaunchPad (LAUNCHXL-CC1350)
