On December 17, the first "Dishui Lake China RISC-V Industry Forum" was held, and 10 domestic RISC-V chips were released. The four newly released chips by companies such as Boliu Intelligence, Apt, Jingshi Intelligence, and Lingsiwei are all designed and developed based on Alibaba Pingtou Ge's Xuantie RISC-V processor.
The AIoT era puts forward new requirements for software and hardware, such as rapid iteration and demand customization. The RISC-V architecture is open, streamlined, and flexible, which is highly compatible with it and has become the hottest chip instruction set architecture at the moment. According to multiple data forecasts, global RISC-V chip shipments will exceed 60 billion in 2025, and a new wave of the industry is approaching.
Chinese companies have seized the initiative in this wave. The forum released 10 RISC-V chips, including MCU, SoC, AI chips, etc., with a rare number and richness. The reporter found that 4 of the domestic chips used Pingtou Ge's Xuantie RISC-V series cores, covering different requirements such as high performance and low power consumption, and can be widely used in intelligent voice, AI vision, industrial control, and Internet of Vehicles.
Boliu Intelligent releases the intelligent voice SoC chip BL606P based on Hematite RISC-V
The multi-mode wireless connection intelligent voice SoC chip BL606P released by Boliu Intelligence is based on the Hematite RISC-V processor design. The single chip is highly integrated with Hematite C906 and E907 processors, SRAM, multi-mode wireless connection, audio Codec, screen display and peripheral interfaces, etc. It can be widely used in intelligent voice scenarios. Liu Zhanling, vice president of Boliu Intelligence, said: "Pingtou Ge dared to invest in various aspects in the early stage of the industry and cooperation, and provided a full chain service for chip implementation, which was very helpful to us."
Huang Qunhui, COO of Jingshi Intelligence, said that Pingtou Ge has done a lot of code optimization in the field of visual AI based on RISC-V, and provided basic software and algorithms for the industry. "It even helps us promote downstream applications, which has doubled our confidence in the implementation of RISC-V chips." The newly released AI vision SoC chip CR182x is highly integrated with the dual-core Hematite C906 processor, 0.5T NPU and Smart ISP, and is one of the most integrated products of the same level in the industry.
The reporter also observed that the Xuantie RISC-V processor has also become the choice of many MCU manufacturers. Yuan Yongsheng, director and deputy general manager of APT, said that the difficulty in building a software ecosystem, the unfriendly software development tool chain and the insufficient richness of the chip series are the three major problems facing RISC-V in the general MCU field at this stage.
"The cooperation with Pingtou Ge has created a complete system from CPU to chip design, tool chain, product line, and software ecology to solve these problems," said Yuan Yongsheng. According to reports, APT's RISC-V MCU shipments have exceeded 100 million. At this forum, APT released the 64-bit general-purpose MCU APT32F706, which integrates the dual-core of Hematite C906 and E907, achieving high performance with a maximum main frequency of 600MHz.
The Wireless MCU LE503x released by Lingsiwei is developed based on the Hematite E902, and it achieves automotive-grade high performance with extremely low power consumption. Wang Zhenshan, vice president of Lingsiwei, said: "The use of the Pingtouge RISC-V core effectively helps Lingsiwei to quickly deploy and implement design requirements, shorten the design iteration cycle to the greatest extent, and achieve faster product launch."

Public reports show that Pingtou Ge's Xuantie series processors have shipped more than 2.5 billion units, and more than 150 companies have designed chips based on Xuantie series processors. In addition, Pingtou Ge also open-sourced four Xuantie RISC-V mass-produced processors at the 2021 Yunqi Conference, and opened up a series of tools and system software.
