On the morning of January 7, during the CES 2022 conference, Intel officially released a number of 12th-generation Core chips, among which the most powerful one is the i9-12900KS, a desktop CPU. It is another Core product ending with "KS" after the 9900KS, with a maximum acceleration frequency of 5.5GHz, a very amazing number.

Compared with the i9-12900K, the 5.5GHz frequency is 300MHz higher. It can reach a higher frequency without significantly increasing the voltage, and the power consumption can also be controlled at a reasonable level.

But the chip may not be sold separately. Intel Executive Vice President Gregory Bryant mentioned in his speech that the CPU will be delivered to "OEM customers," that is, sold together with the computer.
