Qinheng Microelectronics has taken such demands into consideration since the beginning of chip design. All types of protocol chips launched have high customization capabilities. The same protocol chip can be changed into dozens of customized functions and parameter configurations according to different application requirements.

At the same time, in order to ensure that customers' personalized needs can be accurately and quickly supported and responded to, and to help customers flexibly and quickly respond to ever-changing terminal needs, we have launched an online customization platform for PD fast charging protocol chips, which covers almost all protocol chip products launched by Qinheng Microelectronics, as well as several customized applications with concentrated demand, including power reduction, multi-port sharing, boost standby, etc., and provides rich protocol configuration options.

(Creating a custom main interface)

Through this platform, customers can freely customize various parameters, set notes and request samples. The platform will also save all parameter information and files of the samples for customers and our company to repeatedly download, trace and use for joint debugging, avoiding possible file confusion. At the same time, we also have a remote self-service chip burning platform to provide customers with chip foundry burning services. The platform will convert the created burning order into a production work order and arrange it to the terminal in a coordinated manner, and encrypt the burning firmware and parameters and send them to the terminal for batch production. No human participation is required in the production process. Through the interaction and cooperation of the two platforms, the entire process from test specimens and sample confirmation to mass production is guaranteed to be safe.

For example, for an application with a total power of 45W and 2C+2A interfaces, use 2 CH237Ds, configure the power reduction from 45W to 20W, generate and apply for samples, and the customization process can be completed. When one group of interfaces is used, it supports 45W power, and when two groups of interfaces are used at the same time, each group of interfaces supports 20W power.

When used with other protocol chips for power reduction, the input/output level of our chip can also be set according to the level characteristics of other protocol chips to facilitate adaptation.

Of course, the most basic functions such as modifying protocol support, number of gears, gear parameters, etc. according to protocol requirements are naturally supported. Engineers can easily and quickly fine-tune various parameters on this platform to cope with specific power supply designs or target requirements, such as adding an 11v fixed gear, making port A support the 12-20v range, combining fixed gears and PPS gears of different power, etc.

I asked about this, and they told me there is no customization development fee. The customization platform is provided for users to choose. After customization, you can contact sales to apply for samples, and then someone will help to review whether the customized product is reasonable. If it is OK, you will be sent a sample. Otherwise, you will be contacted to inform you of the problem. If there is no problem with the sample test, the subsequent ordering is the same as the normal process.
