U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said on Friday that after meeting with semiconductor industry executives, she reached a consensus that solving the chip shortage is a top priority.


In a statement from the Commerce Department, Gina Raimondo said: “As Secretary of Commerce, I believe addressing the semiconductor shortage and strengthening investment in American-made semiconductor technology are our top priorities, and I look forward to working with leaders like the Semiconductor Industry Association to do just that.”
