Wall Street analysts believe that Apple's latest iPhone is expected to sell around 200 million units, driven by demand from current users to replace old phones with new ones, with most of the demand coming from China.

According to Reuters, Apple is expected to launch three new phones featuring upgraded processors, new camera features and video streaming services similar to Netflix and Disney.

Investment firm Wedbush believes that this wave of mobile phone upgrade cycle will sell 180 million mobile phones in the next 12 months, of which about 60 to 70 million units of replacement demand will come from China.

In addition, some analysts pointed out that Apple currently has about 900 million mobile phones in use worldwide. In addition, the weak sales of iPhone X in 2017 and its relatively "rigid" pricing should stimulate users' demand for changing phones this time.

Apple has begun to see demand pick up in China this year, mainly due to discounts on iPhones by Chinese online retailers.

Bank of America analysts believe that when Apple lowered the price of the iPhone XR, the company found that the price reduction tactic saw "meaningful" demand elasticity in China, so we also expect Apple to lower prices for other models of mobile phones to stimulate demand.
