1. Experience and Insights: How to Design Millimeter-Wave RFICs with Good Performance
Wednesday, July 31, 2019, 15:00-17:00
The technical challenges in designing transceivers with millimeter wave access technology are very great. The transceiver presented in this session uses 802.11ad fixed wireless access and backhaul technology. The speaker will share valuable experience with us, including the combination of electromagnetic effects and system simulation. These methods can avoid complex design workloads and reduce the number of redesigns because faults can be found early in the design cycle.
This online class will be based on the speaker’s award-winning paper “57-71 GHz Beamforming Silicon Germanium Transceiver for 802.11ad Fixed Wireless Access” - the paper won the 2018 IEEE RFIC Best Industry Paper Award. The author will share with us the comparison of simulation results and over-the-air measurement results.
Through this Master Cloud Class, you will learn
1. A reliable RF design approach for millimeter wave frequencies.
2. The benefits of using electromagnetic simulation and system simulation in the early stages of design.
3. Why is it necessary to compare and verify simulation results with over-the-air measurement results when designing for the IEEE 802.11ad standard?
2. Network Operations and Security Operations: “Can We Fight Together?”
Wednesday, August 7, 2019, 15:00-17:00
Once upon a time, network teams focused on network performance and availability, while security teams dealt with threats to performance. Today, the growth of cloud computing, virtualization, and everything-as-a-service has changed all that, blurring the lines between network operations (NetOps) and security operations (SecOps), and creating a need for better tool utilization and data sharing. Attend this virtual workshop to hear from technical experts and gain new insights into best practices for aligning and delivering the data you need—even if that data is exactly the same for every team.
We will focus on:
1. Changing focus and emerging challenges for network, security, and cloud teams;
2. Take action to streamline operations;
3. Tips to improve performance and security.

5. 5G Conformance Test and Equipment Acceptance Test
Wednesday, September 11, 2019, 15:00-17:00
As 5G New Radio (NR) gradually moves towards large-scale commercial use, devices and base stations need to be verified before entering the market to ensure that they meet the requirements of 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project). Conformance testing and device acceptance testing are very critical milestones, but at present, test specifications and test methods have not been finalized. How can manufacturers ensure that their designs meet the specifications, especially in the new Frequency Range 2 (FR2) millimeter wave operating band? This cloud class reviews the progress of 3GPP RAN 4 and RAN 5, and provides guidance on how to test 5G devices and base stations. This cloud class is ready to bring you three major gains:
1. 5G testing requirements and timeline;
2. 5G test methods for FR1 and FR2;
3. How manufacturers test 5G products.
6. C-V2X (Internet of Vehicles) Testing Challenges and Solutions
Wednesday, September 25, 2019, 15:00-17:00
Wireless communication technology promises to make driving safer and self-driving cars more manageable. C-V2X is the foundation for vehicles to communicate with each other and with all the infrastructure around them. The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) defined LTE-V in its Release 14 standard, a C-V2X technology that supports side-link and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications. LTE-V and 5G will realize the vision of V2X and the full potential of autonomous vehicles. Keysight's cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) solutions help accelerate the design and deployment of wireless technologies that are critical to autonomous driving.
This cloud classroom is going to bring you three major gains:
1. Measurement requirements and test challenges of C-V2X;
2. C-V2X technology status and standards;
3. The latest update of C-V2X certification test environment.
VII. Addressing FEC Challenges on 400G Equipment
Wednesday, October 16, 2019, 15:00-17:00
The approach to testing 400G has changed dramatically over the past few years. In the 400G world, as data rates increase, serial links begin to experience operational errors. Therefore, it is necessary to perform forward error correction (FEC), which introduces new testing challenges. Although FEC can recover error-free data, it can be inhibited by certain conditions, resulting in data loss. If FEC fails, you need to troubleshoot quickly. In this online class, you will have the right tools to debug and solve FEC test challenges.
By joining KEE Cloud Classroom, you will have a deeper understanding of:
1. Testing challenges of PAM4 and FEC;
2. 400G test procedures;
3. What tools can help you debug and solve FEC testing challenges?

9. Addressing the Testing Challenges in 5G Signal Generation
Wednesday, October 30, 2019, 15:00-17:00
5G New Radio (NR) requires new conformance tests to be performed in Frequency Range 1 (FR1) and Frequency Range 2 (FR2). 3GPP test requirements are more complex than previous 4G LTE tests. gNB testing requires the use of a large number of phase-coherent signals to generate channels and requires solutions that can control the uncertainty of over-the-air measurements. These tests are important to verify that the receiver is operating as expected. This online class delves into the key tests and techniques to ensure accurate receiver measurements using mmWave signal generators.
This cloud classroom is going to bring you three major gains:
1. 5G 3GPP test requirements;
2. Test setup example;
3. How to compress the test time as much as possible.

Wednesday, November 13, 2019, 15:00-17:00
Efficiency and cost have always been topics of great concern to test engineers. On the one hand, reducing the overall test cost can help reduce the terminal price of the product. On the other hand, continuously improving test efficiency and quickly testing products can also reduce costs from another dimension. Watch this online live broadcast to get familiar with the steps to optimize the test process using the Pathwave platform.
You can also learn:
1. What time do test engineers spend that does not add value?

11. Power Integrity Design of Ideal Power Distribution Network
Wednesday, November 27, 2019, 15:00-17:00
Engineers know that the margins for power integrity designs are rapidly decreasing in low-power IoT devices, PAM4 400 Gigabit Ethernet, and high-reliability automotive systems. Designing to product specifications may no longer be a viable approach. This requires the use of simulation and measurement techniques in synergy to address the challenges facing the power integrity ecosystem in order to make difficult choices between cost and performance. This online class will start with the tools and techniques used to simulate signal responses (both large and small signals) in the power integrity ecosystem, then introduce how to use measured component models to improve accuracy, and finally explore advanced decoupling optimization techniques with distributed PCB EM models.
Three major gains from participating in this live class:
1. Understand the basics of power integrity impedance and the importance of flat impedance design.
2. Understand when to use RL models and when to use measured voltage regulator module (VRM) models.
3. Learn how to set up decoupling capacitor optimization to minimize cost and maximize performance.
12. Verify the RF performance of IoT devices during manufacturing more quickly and easily
Wednesday, December 11, 2019, 15:00-17:00
Verifying the radio frequency (RF) performance of a device during the manufacturing phase is critical to ensuring that the device performs as expected in the real world. However, the shrinking size of devices has made testing very difficult. In some cases, it is not even possible to connect the device for accurate measurements. This online class explores the importance of verifying RF performance during device manufacturing and details a new over-the-air test technology designed to help engineers make the necessary measurements faster and easier.
Through this cloud classroom, you will learn how to:
1. Perform low-cost RF testing of wireless IoT devices during manufacturing without loading test firmware or establishing a wired connection;
2. Expand the coverage of functional testing to identify edge wireless IoT devices;
3. Maintain acceptable product quality while shortening test cycles.
