According to news on August 24, the source Chi11eddog recently disclosed an Intel internal support document on X (Twitter), indicating that Win11 and subsequent version updates will add support for Wi-Fi 7 networks.

This support document states that only Win11, some Linux distributions, and some ChromeOS can support Wi-Fi 7 networks, and the Win10 system is not mentioned.

Chi11eddog stated in a follow-up tweet that since the Win10 system lacks the necessary Wi-Fi 7 drivers verified by Microsoft, there is a high probability that it will not be able to support Wi-Fi 7 networks.

Intel’s introduction to Wi-Fi 7 networks is as follows:

Wi-Fi 7 的功能将基于前几代 Wi-Fi 产品,并更上层楼。其不仅将实现速度方面的提升,还将显著提高响应能力和可靠性,以支持沉浸式消费者体验和复杂的未来技术。

For a typical Wi-Fi 7 laptop, the advantage is a potential maximum data rate of nearly 5.8 Gbps. This is 2.4 times faster than the 2.4 Gbps available with Wi-Fi 6/6E, and can easily support high-quality 8K video streaming, or reduce download times for large 15 GB files to approximately 25 seconds, with optimal performance Older Wi-Fi technology takes one minute.
