Telecom version of FlexPai 2, flexible electronic technology and cloud network terminal integration to build a 5G smart ecosystem
Royole has been in the mobile phone industry for a long time. As early as 2018, Royole released the world's first consumer-grade foldable screen mobile phone FlexPai ahead of major mobile phone manufacturers around the world, bringing this new category of foldable screen mobile phones to consumers. Two years later, it released the new generation of foldable screen mobile phone FlexPai 2, which has been fully upgraded in hardware configuration, operating system and performance. According to Du Jianping, general manager of Royole Technology's mobile terminal business group, FlexPai 2 has an ultra-large 7.8-inch fully flexible screen, breaking the limits of mobile phone screens and expanding mobile vision. The third-generation cicada-wing fully flexible screen has a minimum bending radius of 1mm, mirror-like flatness, and a brightness increase of 1.5 times compared to the second generation; the response speed reaches 0.4ms, 1.2 times higher than the second generation; the contrast is 5 times higher than the second generation. The low color deviation is 1.5 times better than that of competing products, and the brightness attenuation optimization is 3.5 times better than that of competing products. In addition, with the support of Royole Technology's independently developed ultra-low temperature non-silicon process integration technology (ULT-NSSP) and intelligent mechanical simulation model, the third-generation cicada-wing fully flexible screen can withstand about 1.8 million bends, and the bending performance is greatly improved.
In terms of chip module configuration, FlexPai 2 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon™ 865 mobile platform, and the KryoTM 585 CPU performance is 25% higher than the previous generation platform. The AdrenoTM 650 GPU graphics rendering speed is 25% higher than the previous generation platform, the KryoTM 585 CPU performance is 25% higher than the previous generation platform, and the SpectraTM 480 ISP has a processing speed of up to 2 billion pixels per second.
As a cutting-edge technology product in the 5G era, FlexPai 2 supports NSA and SA networking, dual SIM dual standby, 7 modes and 47 frequencies, including 9 frequencies for 5G, and supports the main network frequency bands of core operators around the world to meet users' global travel needs. It also supports 5G message push and reception.
In terms of independent technology, in addition to the flexible screen, the most eye-catching is the Royole 3STM fully closed linear hinge created by FlexPai 2. It is reported that it has 211 patents, and the screen and hinge are perfectly integrated. Seamless folding can be achieved, and the thickness is reduced by nearly 40% compared with the previous generation of products. FlexPai 2 can achieve free hovering of the fuselage at any angle of 0-180°, and adjust the folding angle at will. In terms of materials, Royole 3STM fully closed linear hinge uses a variety of top aviation-grade metal materials, including aluminum-titanium alloy, liquid metal, etc. The hinge has extremely high-precision technology and consists of a total of 200 precision components and precision transmission parts. The dimensional tolerance of the smallest part is ±0.01mm.
