Nowadays, more and more countries are beginning to pay attention to self-developed chips. After all, no one wants to be strangled. Baikal Electronics is a Russian technology company that has launched a processor called "Baikal" with 48 physical cores. Of course, this processor is aimed at the server field and has little to do with ordinary users.
In fact, this processor was exposed as early as the end of last year, and it was already lit up at that time. Now, chip master Fritzchens Fritz has released several core photos and kernel photos of this processor. From the photos, we can see that this processor uses LGA packaging, and some friends may think of Intel processors when they see the back.
This processor uses TSMC's 16nm process and has a core area of about 607mm2. It uses the ARM A75 public version architecture and has a maximum main frequency of 2.5GHz. It supports up to 4 channels, which means that a system can provide up to 192 cores. In terms of performance, it is close to the Xeon Gold 6148, which is a 20-core processor.
