On October 16, at Lenovo's 2024 annual global innovation event Tech World today, Lenovo Group launched the sixth-generation vertical liquid cooling product ThinkSystem N1380 Neptune to power generative AI computing.
At the conference, Lenovo Group announced its collaboration with NVIDIA to launch Lenovo Hybrid AI Comprehensive Advantage Set and launched ThinkSystem SC777 V4 Neptune, further expanding its long-term cooperation with NVIDIA. This new system utilizes the new ThinkSystem N1380 Neptune, claiming to achieve a trillion-parameter AI model in a compact design.
It is reported that the ThinkSystem N1380 Neptune vertical liquid-cooled chassis is designed for industry-standard 19-inch racks and can achieve 100% direct warm water cooling.
The ThinkSystem N1380 Neptune has eight tray slots that accommodate up to four ThinkSystem 15kW Titanium Switched Power Supplies (PCS) to power the 48V bus.
ThinkSystem SC777 V4 Neptune supports the next-generation NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand and Spectrum-X800 Ethernet platforms. In addition, ThinkSystem SC777 V4 Neptune supports NVIDIA AI Enterprise, a cloud-native software platform that simplifies the development and deployment of production-grade artificial intelligence solutions, including generative AI, computer vision, and voice AI.
Lenovo officials have learned that the sixth-generation Lenovo Neptune now fully covers Lenovo's end-to-end hybrid AI product portfolio of servers, solutions and services.
