MicroPython Hands-on (16) - Image display on the control board [Copy link]

 
 

The control board has a 1.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 128x64. There are two ways to display images. One is a bmp format image, which can be converted into hexadecimal image data using a modulo software and displayed on the OLED screen. The other is a pbm format image, which can be displayed on the OLED screen. The built-in image on the board is in pbm format. Compared with hexadecimal image data, pbm format occupies less memory, which allows the control board to store more images. We can also convert our own images into pbm or bmp format and display them on the control board.

4. OLED displays external images.
OLED screens can only display bmp formats with a color depth of 1 or in black and white mode. You can use Photoshop, Paint, or other image display software to convert. The converted image needs to be modulated using a modulus tool. The converted image size should be 128*64, which is the size of the control panel screen. The selected image should have clear lines and not too rich colors.
