On July 5, news source @jaykihn0 tweeted yesterday (July 4), sharing the specifications of Intel's 800 series chipsets. The preliminary specifications include 5 SKUs: H810, B860, Q870, Z890 and W880, but there may not be H870.

According to the specification sheet information, Z890 is still the only official platform that supports CPU overclocking, supporting the adjustment of X86 core (IA) voltage and base clock frequency (BCLK).

Users can overclock memory on the B860 platform, but not on the Q870 and H810 chipsets. In addition, the table information also indicates that W880 will be the only chipset that supports DDR5 ECC memory, but the platform does not support CPU overclocking.

IT Home Note: The total number of PCIe channels supported by Z890 and W880 will reach 48, while the H810 chipset will be limited to 24 channels.

The B860 can support PCIe 5.0 x16 and x4 interfaces through the CPU, but the CPU will no longer support the secondary PCIe 4.0 x4 interface.

The CPU you see looks like this:                                                  This is the packaged form. The shell and silicon circuit board are actually worthless. The most expensive part comes from the chip inside. The chip is in this wafer form before it is cut:    Those who have no idea about chips and the se
