Expansion of drive family addresses a broad range of industrial, building automation, data center and renewable energy applications
CHICAGO, September 19, 2024 - Littelfuse, Inc., an industrial technology manufacturing company committed to powering a sustainable, connected and safer world, is pleased to announce the launch of the IX4341 and IX4342 dual 5-amp low-side MOSFET gate drivers. These gate drivers are designed specifically for driving MOSFETs and complement the existing IX434x driver series by adding two additional logic input versions. The IX434x series now includes dual non-inverting, dual inverting, and non-inverting and inverting input versions, providing customers with a comprehensive range of choices.
The IX4341 and IX4342 drivers feature short propagation delay times of 16 nanoseconds and short rise and fall times of 7 nanoseconds, making them ideal for high-frequency applications. Additionally, for higher current requirements, electronic designers can parallel two channels of the IX4340 and IX4341 devices to form a single 10 A driver, providing flexibility and scalability.
A notable feature of the IX434x drivers is their compatibility with TTL and CMOS logic inputs, enabling direct connection to most controllers. In addition, each output has an independent enable function and undervoltage lockout circuit (UVLO) to ensure reliable and safe operation. In the event of insufficient final supply voltage, the gate driver output is asserted low, shutting down the external power device.
The IX4341 and IX4342 dual 5A low-side gate drivers are ideal for a variety of markets including:
General industrial and electrical equipment
Home appliances
Building Solutions
Data Center
Energy storage and renewable energy
These low-side MOSFET gate drivers are ideal for a variety of industrial applications such as:
-
Switching Power Supply
-
DC-DC Converters
-
Motor Controller
-
Power Converter
The IX434x devices are available in standard 8-pin SOIC, thermally enhanced 8-pin SOIC, and 3×3 mm² MSOP packages, providing customers with a range of options to meet their specific needs.
“This new series of dual-channel 5-amp low-side gate drivers is highly integrated and compatible with a variety of logic input versions, simplifying circuit design,” said June Zhang, product manager, Integrated Circuits Division, Semiconductor Business Unit at Littelfuse. “With these drivers, customers can achieve more robust performance and protect their power devices.”
The IX434x dual 5A low-side gate drivers are ideal for a variety of industries including general industrial and electrical equipment, home appliances, building solutions, data centers, energy storage, and renewable energy.
They are direct replacements for existing comparable drives, providing customers with an industry-standard option to meet their power supply needs.
Availability
The IX4341 and IX4342 low-side MOSFET gate drivers are available in tubes of 100 each and tape and reel packaging in quantities of 4,000. Sample requests are available through authorized Littelfuse distributors worldwide. For a list of authorized Littelfuse distributors, visit Littelfuse.com.
