Bourns Launches Riedon™ PF2203/PFS35 Series High Power Thick Film Resistors with Power Up to 35W, Low TCR and Precision Tolerance Options

November 21, 2024 - Bourns, a world-renowned leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection and sensing solutions, has launched the new Riedon™ PF2203 and PFS35 series of high-power thick film resistors . These two series are an important expansion of Bourns' extensive high-power resistor product line. They use compact TO-220 and DPAK packages, have low inductance, excellent pulse handling capabilities and rated power up to 35W, which can significantly improve circuit stability and measurement accuracy.

Bourns' Riedon™ PF2203 and PFS35 series of high-power thick film resistors have a wide range of resistance values, from 10 MΩ to 51 kΩ, an operating temperature range of -55 to +175 °C, and optional resistance tolerances of ±1% and ±5%. These resistors are designed to meet the market's demand for higher power dissipation and smaller packages. Among them, the DPAK surface mount package provided by the PFS35 series is particularly popular, which not only helps to reduce the product size, but also effectively reduces manufacturing costs.

The properties of Bourns' new thick film resistors make them an ideal solution for current limiting, current measurement, and capacitor discharge needs in a wide range of applications, including industrial motor drives, AC-DC and DC-DC power converters, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Bourns' new Riedon™ PF2203 and PFS35 series of high-power thick film resistors are now available and are RoHS* compliant.
