NCP1396A/B is an improved version of NCP1395. It includes a voltage controlled oscillator with a maximum of 500kHZ, and has great flexibility in control mode when the suspension drive function is required, and can implement multiple feedback channels. Due to the use of high-voltage IC technology, it can directly drive two MOSFETs in half-bridge applications

, with a withstand voltage of up to 600V. The protection features can be turned off immediately or with a time delay, Brownian output protection is added, and the optocoupler directly feedbacks. This is very important for reliable safety design, and no more external circuits are required. The adjustable dead time prevents the common conduction of the high and low side MOSFETs at any frequency.

Key Features

1) High frequency operation from 50 to 500 kHz.

2) 600V high voltage floating driver.

3) Dead time is adjustable from 100ns to 2μS.

4) The soft start procedure is adjustable.

5) With Brown-out output protection, it simplifies the requirements for PFC-IC.

6) 0VP and 0TP can protect against several fault conditions.

7) Add fault period protection, and the work can be automatically restored after the fault is removed.

8) Enables input to act on IC immediately, simplifying ON/OFF control.

9) VCC is 10~20V.

10) Low starting current less than 300 μA.

11) 1 A/0.5 A sink and source driving capability.

12) Optocoupler direct connection feedback (optocoupler emitter output).

13) Version B starts at 10V, version A starts at 13V.

Mainly used for power supply of flat panel displays, high power AC/DC adapters, medical instruments, etc.
