Intel and Hony Technology jointly launched the "Winter Olympics Campus Tour - Champion Charity Class"
On November 26, 2021, at the Capital Institute of Physical Education and Sports Air-Inflated Stadium, Associate Professor Wang Jinying from the Ice and Snow Teaching and Research Department of the Capital Institute of Physical Education taught an unconventional remote speed skating course for hundreds of teachers and students from eight schools in eight regions across the country through three classroom solutions from Hony, Intel's partner in the education field, bringing the rich and colorful ice and snow sports into the classroom.
To support the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Intel, together with Hony Technology and Capital Institute of Physical Education, launched a series of themed activities called "Winter Olympics Campus Tour - Champion Charity Classroom". Ten courses are expected, and the first one will be held on November 26. In each course, teachers from the Ice and Snow Teaching and Research Section of Capital Institute of Physical Education are invited to lead students to appreciate the charm of ice and snow sports.
At present, the development of ice and snow sports has obvious regional characteristics. In order to solve the difficulties faced by some schools in carrying out ice and snow education, Honghe Technology moved the main classroom to the professional ice rink of the Capital Institute of Physical Education through the 5G portable recording and broadcasting equipment in Honghe’s three classroom solutions. Internationally renowned ice and snow experts popularized ice and snow sports related knowledge for students. While learning knowledge, students also had a more intuitive feeling of ice and snow sports.
At the same time, relying on the technical support of "5G+three classrooms" , students from Liaoning, Hebei, Xinjiang, Jiangsu, Chengdu, Chongqing, Gansu, Shaanxi and other remote places can also interact with teachers smoothly and freely one-on-one. In class, the teacher used the Honghe smart interactive tablet to play the wonderful moments of the Chinese delegation in previous Olympic Games. The exciting scenes of winning the championship aroused the students' enthusiasm for learning! Students from all over the country have a strong interest in the speed skating equipment and handsome starting and turning movements taught and demonstrated by the teacher, which they cannot observe closely in ordinary classrooms and ice rinks. In class, the students told Teacher Wang that they would find an ice rink to experience it immediately after class. On the day of the event, Honghe also broadcast the course simultaneously on the live broadcast platform, so that more teachers and students can pay attention to and participate in ice and snow projects, and ignite the spirit of the Winter Olympics in the hearts of the public, especially young people.
In view of different teaching application scenarios of the "three classrooms",
Intel provides Hony with a complete and fully optimized overall solution, including hardware configuration based on Intel architecture and rich tools, Media SDK, OpenVINO, etc. Intel's end-to-end solution for smart education enables partners' products to remotely
enable students to enjoy high-quality educational resources across many mountains, narrow the resource gap between different regions and different groups of people, and promote the implementation of equitable education.
Join hands to welcome the Winter Olympics and move towards the future. Intel and Hony Technology also look forward to using educational information technology to promote the spread of ice and snow culture on campus, implement the concept of shared Olympic Games, contribute youthful strength to create a good atmosphere for the Winter Olympics, and achieve the ultimate goal of "driving 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports."
