It is reported that the industry chain has basically prepared the market for the iPhone 14 series, and the rumors of "delayed release" last week are untrue.
The A16 application processor adopts TSMC's 4nm N4P process and has begun production. The A17 application processor, which will be the core of the iPhone 15 to be launched next year, has completed its design and has begun trial production.
The A16 and A16 Pro chips have been basically finalized. Both chips use TSMC's 4nm process, and currently have a production capacity of up to 150,000 pieces from TSMC, which corresponds to 150,000 iPhone 14 series units.
The iPhone 14 and 14 Max will be equipped with the A16 chip, which is based on the A15 and has a performance improvement of only about 10%; while the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will use the A16 Pro chip, whose performance is currently unknown.
