According to the company's information on the investor interaction platform, the 5G RF chip developed by Fumanwei has entered mass production.
In addition, regarding the planning of 5G RF chips, Liu Jingyu, chairman of Fumanwei, previously stated, "Our 5G series of RF front-end chips can be used on mobile phones. We have already contacted companies such as Xiaomi and Transsion. Our 5G RF chip products are benchmarked against Zhuoshengwei's high-end RF product line."
It is understood that a radio frequency chip refers to an electronic component that converts radio signal communication into a certain radio signal waveform and sends it out through antenna resonance. It includes a power amplifier (PA: Power Amplifier), a low noise amplifier (LNA: Low Noise Amplifier), an antenna switch (Switch), a filter (Filter), a duplexer (Duplexer and Diplexer), etc.
In terms of 5G RF chips, in addition to Fumanwei, domestic companies such as Zhanrui Micro, Will Semiconductor, Suzhou Handianxia, Sanan Integrated, and Kaiyuan Communications are also gradually mastering related technologies and entering the production stage, but the overall share is still too small.
In addition, Qualcomm is also an important 5G RF technology manufacturer. Apple is also developing its own 5G RF chips. Huawei's HiSilicon Semiconductor has also been developing its own 5G RF chips in recent years. This is one of the key reasons why Huawei cannot make 5G mobile phones.
