Apple watchOS 8 developer preview Beta 6 released

      Foreign media MacRumors reported that today Apple released the iOS 15/iPadOS 15 developer preview Beta 6. Apple also released the watchOS 8 Beta 6 test version for developers. The specific version number is 19R5330d. This update was made a week after Apple released watchOS 8 Beta 5.

　　To install watchOS 8, developers will need to download a configuration profile from the Apple Developer Center. Once installed, watchOS 8 can be downloaded through the dedicated Apple Watch app on iPhone by going to General > Software Update.

　　To update to the new software, your Apple Watch needs to have 50% battery life, must be connected to a charger, and needs to be in range of your iPhone. It is not recommended to install the watchOS 8 Beta on your primary Apple Watch, as the software may be unstable at this early stage.

　　IT Home learned that Apple watchOS 8 has several new features that are extensions of the new features introduced in iOS 15. Apple Wallet has been improved, allowing it to hold keys to unlock hotels, cars, and homes. In addition, Apple will let US users add ID cards to the wallet later this year.

　　Apple has overhauled the Home app, and for the Workout app, there are new Tai Chi and Pilates workout types, the Breathe app has been renamed Mindfulness thanks to a new Reflection session that invites users to enter a positive mindfulness state, and the Apple Watch can now measure your breathing rate while you sleep.

　　In the Messages app, Scribble, Dictation, and emoji can be combined in the same message to make communication easier. Dictated text can be edited and GIFs can be sent directly from the watch.

　　There are also new portrait watch faces, the Photos app has been updated with support for Memories and Featured Photos, a new Find My app to locate items on your wrist, new Music, Weather, Timers and more, and a new Contacts app.
