Apple successfully demonstrated its 5nm M1 chip to the industry and left a good response in a short period of time. In the future, we can expect the emergence of more powerful Apple chips.
Today a tipster hinted that Apple may be developing a 64-core Apple chip, but it likely won't appear in a portable Mac model.
A tweet from LeaksApplePro suggests that Apple is working on a more powerful chip to really push computing performance to the next level. Currently, the M1 chip uses an 8-core design, but in the future, we can expect more cores.
According to previous reports, Apple is said to be working on a 32-core version, possibly for its future Mac Pro, as well as a custom GPU solution to eliminate its reliance on AMD graphics solutions.
Today's revelations revealed that Apple is also developing a 64-core version, which is unlikely to be adopted by the mobile product line and is expected to be used in Apple's high-end desktop products.
The new 64-core product may be offered together with the new 32-core Mac Pro. Considering the performance of the current M1 chip, the 64-core product can probably be described as "performance explosion."
