AnTuTu, a well-known benchmarking software, recently discovered a large number of Apple M1 chip benchmarking scores in the background.
Interestingly, AnTuTu stated that when running iOS applications, the MacBook Air was disguised as an iPad Pro, and the system was also identified as iOS 14.2.
In terms of performance, the highest score found by AnTuTu in the background has reached 1119243, including 282265 points for CPU, 538944 for GPU, 189921 for MEM and 108113 for UX.
Compared with the iPad Pro 4 (equipped with A12Z), which also has 512GB storage, the CPU score leads by 50.65%, the GPU score leads by 43.78%, the MEM score leads by 64.98%, the UX score leads by 38.66%, and the total score leads by 48.19%.
At the same time, this is also the first chip whose running score can exceed 1 million under the iOS AnTuTu V8 version.
Li Nan, former senior vice president of Meizu and current founder of Angry Miao, explained why Apple's M1 chip has a high running score.
Li Nan believes that the reason why the ARM-based M1 chip can achieve high running scores is not due to any single point advantage (such as instruction set), nor is it simply a technological advantage (such as process), but rather the huge advantages accumulated by Apple through years of closed integration of the entire industry chain.
It includes the integration of software and hardware as many people have pointed out, as well as the integration of the mobile industry chain and the desktop industry chain, the integration of software and hardware, the integration of closed systems and software ecosystems, and the integration of software and hardware ecosystems and business models.
Li Nan said that the reason why the M1 chip shook the industry overnight was essentially the accumulation of Apple's vision over the years: that is, all links in the industry should ultimately be efficient and in line with business logic, and implemented to meet consumers' personal needs and improve their experience. To put it simply, it is the so-called people (end consumers)-oriented.
