Counterpoint analysts believe that Samsung continues to lead the market because of its diversified product portfolio and new product lines that meet the requirements of all price ranges. Apple's shipment decline was controlled at 14% due to the good performance of the iPhone SE and 11 series. Huawei's shipments fell 46% year-on-year due to Sino-US trade sanctions. Xiaomi and OPPO still achieved year-on-year growth of 55% and 41% even during the pandemic, mainly because these two manufacturers attracted some of Huawei's potential customers with relatively cost-effective products.
