The MAX2366/MAX2367/MAX2368 is a complete transmitter chip using quadrature modulation. The MAX2366 supports dual-band tri-mode operation, and its IF PLL, RF PLL, and operating mode can be programmed using a 3-wire interface compatible with SPITM/QSPITM/MICROWIRETM. The MAX2367 supports single-sideband single-mode (PCS) operation. The MAX2368 supports single-sideband cellular dual-mode operation.
The MAX2366/MAX2367/MAX2368 are ideal for tri-mode, dual-mode, or single-mode mobile phones, satellites, wireless data links (WAN/LAN), high-speed data modulators, high-speed digital cordless phones, and wireless local area networks (WLL).
The main technical features are as follows:
・Operating frequency is 800~1000 MHz/1700~2000 MHz:
・I/Q modulation method;
・RF output power: 12 dBm for FM mode, 7 dBm for other modes;
・Power control range is 30 dB (VGC = 0.5 ~ 2.5 V);
・Intermediate frequency range is 120~200 MHz/180~300 MHz;
・Operating voltage is 2.7~ 5.5 V;
・Power supply current (at VGC = 2.5 V, plus 10 mA local oscillator buffer current): PCS mode is 142 ~ 171 mA, cellular digital mode is 142 ~ 174 mA, FM mode is l24 ~ 152 mA, sleep mode is 20 uA;
Dual synthesizers and two on-chip intermediate frequency voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) for IF and L0;
・3-wire serial bus compatible with QSPITM/SPITM/MICROWIRETM;
・Single sideband up-conversion eliminates the need for SAW filters.
