On June 4, BYD announced that its new model, Han, will be the world's first mass-produced model equipped with Huawei's 5G technology.

According to Tencent News "First Line", this technology is Huawei's 5G vehicle-mounted module, which supports a peak downlink rate of 2Gbps. This also means that BYD Han will become the world's first mass-produced car with 5G communication capabilities.

In May this year, Huawei, together with the first batch of 18 automobile companies including FAW Group, Changan Automobile, and Dongfeng Group, officially announced the establishment of a 5G automotive ecosystem to accelerate the commercialization of 5G technology in the automotive industry.

Since the release of the world's first 5G vehicle-mounted module MH5000 in April 2019, Huawei has provided products and technologies such as the 5G vehicle-mounted module MH5000 and the 5G vehicle-mounted terminal T-Box platform to ecosystem partners and many automobile companies to support application innovations in 5G vehicles and 5G+C-V2X intelligent networking.

At that time, Huawei said that the next two years will be key years for the explosion of 5G cars.
