Apple, which has been rushing along the mid-to-high-end route, also has the "intention" to take the people-friendly route.
In 2016, Apple released the iPhone SE, which started at only 3,288 yuan. With its high cost-performance ratio, the iPhone SE was well received by the market, but there was no news about the iPhone SE 2 in the following three years. Now, the iPhone SE 2 is finally about to be unveiled.
According to the latest report from Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known analyst at Tianfeng International, Apple is expected to release iPhone SE 2 in the first quarter of 2020. Its price may be less than 4,000 yuan, and its overall style is adjusted based on iPhone 8.
The report pointed out that most of the appearance design and hardware specifications of iPhone SE 2 are similar to those of iPhone 8. The specific hardware configuration includes a 5.5-inch full screen, a 2360*1120 resolution LCD screen, a 12-megapixel front and rear single camera, and a 2900 mAh large battery.
However, the most obvious improvement is the A13 processor and 3GB LPDDR4X memory, which will provide a better operating experience. Guo Mingchi said that thanks to the lower price and A13+3GB memory, the iPhone SE2 is expected to increase the market share of the iPhone and help Apple promote content and services. It is estimated that the shipment volume of iPhone SE2 in 2020 will be 30-40 million units, which will become one of the important growth drivers for Apple in 2020.
It is worth noting that now that mobile phone manufacturers are gradually launching 5G mobile phones, iPhone SE 2 does not support 5G technology. In addition, none of the three new iPhones launched by Apple this year support 5G networks, which has already lost the initiative. If iPhone SE 2 is launched next year and still does not support 5G, it will be Apple's biggest shortcoming.
