On July 25, Xie Cun, Director of the Information and Communications Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated at the on-site meeting on the large-scale development of 5G industry applications of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that the "5G Application "Sailing" Action Plan (2021-2023)" is committed to solving the bottlenecks and difficulties in application development and continuously promoting 5G applications to achieve a leap from "1" to "N".
Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the National Development and Reform Commission and other ten departments jointly issued the "Action Plan", proposing that by 2023, a number of new businesses, new models and new formats of "5G+" new consumption will be created in the field of personal consumption, and users' sense of gain will be significantly improved. In the vertical industry field, the 5G application penetration rate of large industrial enterprises exceeds 35%. Each key industry will create more than 100 5G application benchmarks.
Xie Cun said that my country's 5G applications have achieved a breakthrough from "0" to "1", but overall it still faces three problems. First, the industry's shortcomings have yet to be made up, and there are many links and a long process from technology research and development to industrialization; second, the application-driven effect is insufficient, and it is necessary to promote the accelerated promotion of demonstration applications with solid foundations, clear models and broad prospects; third, the application ecology needs to mature faster, and 5G converged applications are comprehensive solutions, and a stable application industry ecology has not yet been formed.

Dong Mingzhu said that from a practical point of view, the biggest benefit brought by 5G is improved efficiency, especially the efficiency of quality control. The per capita efficiency of Gree's dark factory is more than doubled than it is now. What used to require 10,000 people to do can now be supported by only about 3,000 people.
