ETHERNET/IP uses the standard T568B connection method and supports direct connection and crossover connection, as shown in the figure above. ETHERNET/IP only needs to connect the four signal lines 1, 2, 3, and 6 of Ethernet to achieve communication. Users need to pay attention to the good connection of the shielding layer of the Ethernet cable.

Open and configure the JM-EIP-TCP gateway software. Open the GW Config software, select "Modbus Configuration", and click OK to enter the settings interface.

1. Double-click "Modbus Slave" in the device list on the right side of the software to add a slave station to the Modbus bus of this master station. After adding, you can see all stations on the Modbus bus in the main window of the software, as shown below:

2. Double-click the "Modbus Master" icon in the main window to set the operating parameters of the Modbus bus and the characteristics of the gateway working as a Modbus master:

3. Slave status monitoring: If the slave status monitoring function is turned on, the gateway will add 4 bytes (32 bits) at the end of all communication data to identify whether the corresponding 32 slaves are online.

4. Double-click a "Modbus Slave" in the main window to set the message of the slave.

7. After the user completes the Modbus message configuration, the configuration can be downloaded to the JM-EIP-TCP gateway. Download configuration

8. If the user needs to modify the IP address of the gateway LAN port, click the menu bar "Settings - Communication Settings - Modify Device IP" to download the network port settings, as shown below. The user clicks "Tools - Download",

9. Copy the EDS file to the corresponding folder of the Omron software
