Xia Zuxiang, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal People's Congress, delivered a speech

Xia Zuxiang, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal People's Congress, said: "Chongqing is vigorously implementing the innovation-driven development strategic action plan led by big data intelligence, accelerating the formation of a 'three-in-one' development pattern of intelligent industry, intelligent manufacturing, and intelligent application, and striving to build an important national intelligent industry base, a national first-class intelligent application demonstration city, and a digital economy pilot demonstration zone. The successful holding of this FPGA Intelligent Innovation International Competition has far-reaching significance for promoting in-depth cooperation between Chongqing and intelligent innovation industries in cutting-edge technology fields such as FPGA, artificial intelligence, and big data, and for building a global FPGA innovation ecosystem in Chongqing."

Li Desheng, Managing Director of Intel's Strategic Cooperation and Innovation Business Unit, delivered a speech

"Intel is not only a company that leads technological innovation, but also a company that continuously promotes the evolution of the ecosystem," said Li Desheng, managing director of Intel's Strategic Cooperation and Innovation Business Unit. "We always adhere to the concept of open and win-win ecology to expand the depth and breadth of ecological cooperation. We work closely with partners to actively build an FPGA ecosystem, and through organizing intelligent competitions, industry-university-research docking, and training and certification, we discover excellent teams, cultivate professional talents, incubate application innovation, and accelerate the development of the intelligent industry."

Intel is fully committed to building an FPGA ecosystem

Currently, the application and deployment of transformational technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G, and autonomous driving have driven the rapid growth of the FPGA market, and the FPGA industry has entered the fast lane of development. FPGA is an important component of Intel's cloud-to-end technical strength. By combining with Intel's end-to-end computing technology, FPGA acceleration technology can better unleash the huge potential of data, and building an FPGA ecosystem is also a key focus for Intel to drive ecological evolution .

As an important measure taken by Intel and its partners to promote the rapid development of the FPGA industry ecosystem, the FPGA Smart Innovation International Competition has distinct characteristics and advantages:

International top technology innovation competition: Leveraging Intel's leadership in the global technology industry, the competition is committed to attracting and discovering outstanding FPGA smart innovation talents and projects from around the world. A total of more than 400 teams from 11 countries including China, Israel, the United Kingdom, France, the United States, India, Singapore, South Korea, Finland, Australia, and Italy registered to participate, and 278 teams entered the semi-finals.

Promoting application implementation in a wide range of fields: The entries in this competition not only involve natural language processing, machine vision, artificial intelligence chips, big data, face recognition, data visualization and other fields at the technical level, but also cover industrial Internet of Things, agriculture, finance, logistics, health, energy, transportation and other industries at the application level.

Gather ecological resources to accelerate innovation: The authoritative competition jury is composed of Intel technical experts, industry-university-research experts and top venture capital institutions. They will supervise the projects from initial screening, re-screening to the finals of the regional competitions, and conduct all-round communication and professional guidance with the participating teams, build a platform to connect ecological resources for innovative projects, and accelerate the connection between innovative projects and industrial development.

With its leading technological advantages and the ability and experience to link upstream and downstream industries, Intel, together with various partners, supports the vigorous development of the FPGA innovation ecosystem. The Intel FPGA China Innovation Center, established in Chongqing in December last year, is Intel's largest FPGA innovation center in the world. The Intel FPGA China Innovation Center is committed to promoting the construction of China's FPGA ecosystem, providing FPGA R&D personnel and innovative enterprises with an advanced end-to-end platform for development, testing and verification, and creating a comprehensive professional innovation incubation and acceleration center that integrates FPGA training and certification, innovation incubation, application display and ecological development. It will work with universities and ecological partners to carry out FPGA talent training and technology application research, hold national and even global competitions, and rely on Intel's leadership in the technology industry and ecological partners around the world to form a high-level, professional and most influential FPGA industry cluster, accelerate the development of the FPGA industry and the implementation of applications, and add new momentum to a new round of technological innovation.

Since its establishment, the cloud acceleration platform of Intel FPGA China Innovation Center has been connected to more than 50 enterprises and scientific research institutions; in terms of talent training and certification, it has currently served 36 enterprise-level partners, set up 11 technical training courses covering elementary, intermediate and advanced levels, and provided relevant professional technical certifications.

Intel drives ecosystem evolution with data at the center

Not only in the FPGA field, Intel is data-centric and builds an open innovation ecosystem with a global vision. It continues to expand cooperation with industry partners in a wider range of fields, with both breadth and depth, and works together to open up a vast data-driven world.

Facing the data era, Intel is targeting a larger potential market of $300 billion. Focusing on market opportunities far beyond the past, Intel is driving the evolution of the ecosystem, mainly reflected in:

The ecological network is evolving: From deepening its presence in mature fields such as PCs and servers to exploring emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, 5G, and the Internet of Things, Intel's transformation has driven its ecological network to become more open, diverse, and multi-dimensional, with an increasingly broad range of partners, creating a broader space for growth and development in the future.

Ecosystem strength is evolving: Intel has comprehensively deployed technological innovation in various ways, providing platform solutions combining software and hardware from cloud to end, and has also established a strong ecosystem through industry standards, industry-university-research collaboration, and market/operation.
