The boost converter is a commonly used DC-DC power converter that can boost low-voltage DC input to a higher DC output. It can also realize multiple topologies such as boost power supply (Boost), buck-boost power supply (Buck-Boost), SEPIC power supply, isolated flyback power supply , etc. It has been widely used in industrial control, automotive electronics and other fields.

SiRuiPu introduces TPQ5055xQ and TPQ50571Q, two high-efficiency, small-size, easy-to-use non-synchronous boost controllers and converters.

TPQ5055xQ and TPQ50571Q are non-synchronous boost controllers and converters that use fixed-frequency PWM peak current mode control and SiRuiPu's proprietary dual-frequency jitter technology to optimize EMI performance. They integrate multiple protection functions such as over-temperature protection, fixed slope compensation and configurable slope compensation, soft start function, and over-current protection.

TPQ5055xQ is a controller that supports a wide input voltage range and can be used with MOSFET, IGBT or SiC power tubes, suitable for a wider range of applications; TPQ50571Q integrates a MOSFET with a current capability of up to 5A, which can be used in small size and high power density application scenarios.

Isolated Auxiliary Power Applications

In applications such as new energy vehicles, energy storage systems , and charging infrastructure, as voltage increases, stable and reliable isolated power supplies become particularly important. For example, in the electric drive system, on-board charger, and on-board DCDC power supply of new energy vehicles, multiple auxiliary power supplies need to be generated from the 12V/24V or 48V on-board system for use by isolated drivers.

Compared with traditional PWM controllers, TPQ5055xQ has the following advantages:

  • Increase the switching frequency and reduce the size of the transformer;

  • Provide protection and diagnostic functions;

  • Optimized for electromagnetic interference (EMI);

  • Low static power consumption and high efficiency.

High Voltage Backup Power Applications

The excellent quiescent current performance of the TPQ5055xQ makes it suitable for backup power scenarios that directly convert high-voltage battery packs into isolated low-voltage power supplies. This helps ensure that the system meets system-level functional safety requirements in the event of a failure of the main 12V power supply.

TPQ50571Q positive and negative power output

In applications such as optical modules and lidar, high-voltage positive and negative power rails are often required. The TPQ50571Q can generate multiple power rails simultaneously.

TPQ50571Q SEPIC Power Supply Application

The SEPIC solution is widely used in the fields of vehicle power supply stabilization and camera power supply due to its advantages of wide input range, complete output shutdown, low EMI, low cost and fixed output voltage.

TPQ50571Q integrates a 5A high-current MOSFET and can be widely used in SEPIC topologies that require a wide input range. It can avoid loop instability and ripple increase caused by mode switching of the Buck-Boost topology within a wide input range.

TPQ5055xQ and TPQ50571Q are now in mass production, and samples and evaluation boards are available. System and application recommendations can also be provided. You can contact 3peak's local sales team or email to business@3peak.com, or call the sales hotline 021-51090810 ext. 6016.
