On July 25, the groundbreaking ceremony for Oriental Hope’s 1.3 million kilowatt integrated source-grid-load-storage centralized photovoltaic power generation project was held in Zhundong, Xinjiang.

The project is the group's first integrated source-grid-load-storage centralized photovoltaic power generation project. It will participate in the peak power supply and system peak regulation of the 4.4 million kilowatt thermal power generating units of the Zhundong Park Thermal Power Plant, realize the mutual backup and centralized control operation between the thermal power and green power in the park, and significantly improve the peak load guarantee capacity of the park power grid after commissioning. The project is expected to generate 2.16 billion kWh of electricity annually, save nearly 660,000 tons of standard coal annually, and reduce the emission of harmful gases such as smoke, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and carbon dioxide by more than 2.35 million tons annually.

The construction of this project is one of the powerful measures for Oriental Hope Group to actively implement the country's "dual carbon" action. It will effectively improve the level of new energy development and utilization in the Jungar region, explore a new model of low-carbon circular development in Jungar, and build a "clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient" modern energy system. It is of great significance.
