CTS’ range of leading sensing, connectivity and mobile technology products is now available for immediate delivery from element14
Shanghai, China, February 15, 2022 – Farnell element14, the global electronic components products and solutions distributor under Avnet, has added a range of professional products from CTS, a leading designer and manufacturer of switches and timing devices, further expanding its electromechanical and passive product lineup.
CTS is committed to producing high-quality sensors, actuators and electronic components for aerospace and defense, industrial, medical, telecommunications and transportation. Its DIP switches, timing products and potentiometers are widely used in electric guitars and other musical instruments.
The CTS selection of products available from element14 include:
• The 218 Series Half Pitch SMD DIP Switches feature a unique compact design for use in micro applications as well as IT servers, set-top boxes, modems, security and HVAC systems. An optional sealed version is optimised for cleaning circuit boards during automated soldering processes and is now available from element14.
• The 291 Series high-precision, long-life 12 mm optical encoder provides a highly reliable, high-precision digital output that enables a wide range of design applications. It features a non-contact design that ensures longer rotational life and an optional momentary switch. The optical encoder is suitable for industrial, medical, communications, laboratory, automotive, security, audio and infotainment applications.
• The CB3LV low voltage clock oscillator is a low cost, low voltage clock oscillator that supports HCMOS output. Using the latest integrated circuit technology, the CB3LV has excellent stability and low phase jitter performance, making it an ideal solution for many frequency control products.
• The 416-type ultra-small surface mount crystal uses a high-Q quartz resonator and is an ideal solution for commercial and industrial applications such as notebook computers, computer peripherals, wearable devices and handheld electronic devices. It also uses a hermetic ceramic surface mount package and has a frequency range of 24-96MHz and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
Simon Meadmore, Global Interconnect, Passive & Electromechanical (IP&E) Product Director at Farnell and element14, said: “We are delighted to be able to introduce a range of products from world-leading manufacturer CTS and look forward to a long-term stable cooperation with CTS. The addition of CTS products enables us to provide design engineers with more fully integrated low-cost switching and timing solutions. At the same time, this new distribution agreement will also enable our customers to quickly obtain first-class low-cost solutions from element14. We expect that demand for CTS' innovative component solutions will be very strong.”
MingChin Yen, Vice President of CTS Electronic Components, said, "Avnet is our global high-volume distribution partner. We are excited about this new collaboration with element14. The synergy of support and service will make our leading products and technologies more accessible to a wider range of customers."
Design engineers can now choose from a more comprehensive portfolio of interconnect, passive and electromechanical products through element14. Customers can also access element14 online resources, data sheets, application notes, videos and webinars for free, and get technical support 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
A selection of CTS products are available for immediate delivery from Farnell (EMEA) and element14 (APAC).
