Japan's ZMP has launched the wireless 9-axis motion sensor "e-nuvo IMU-Z2".
The new product is equipped with a 3-axis acceleration sensor, a 3-axis gyro sensor, and a 3-axis geomagnetic sensor. By combining these three sensors, it is possible to estimate the dynamic and static postures and measure the three-dimensional movements of the person or object equipped with the product. The measurement data can be wirelessly transmitted up to 100m. It can be applied to long-distance walking measurements and outdoor sports measurements. The wireless communication standard "Bluetooth ver2.0+EDR Class 1" is used for communication. CAN communication is used for wired communication.
The new product supports a maximum sampling frequency of 1kHz and can also be used to measure vehicle vibrations. The product measures 36×52×11mm and weighs about 20g. It also comes with a development kit (SDK), including filters, posture inference, kinematics and 3D graphics databases, and sample programs. The price is 298,000 yen (excluding tax), or about 24,600 yuan.
