Recently, Cadence President and CEO Dr. Anirudh Devgan accepted an exclusive interview with Newsweek .

In the exclusive interview, Dr. Anirudh Devgan answered questions such as " Cadence 's role in the industry ", " the company's future development direction ", " prospects for emerging technology development " and " talent attraction ".

“Chips are becoming more ubiquitous, and AI is a big driver of this growth. While data centers are currently at the forefront of AI development, I believe the next big phase is what I call “physical AI,” which will combine AI with cars, robotics, and autonomous systems. This phase is just beginning with self-driving cars, but I believe industrial robots and other automation technologies will soon follow. We are supporting this wave of innovation with our tools and R&D.

Beyond that, I see life sciences as a third growth area. We recently acquired a company that simulates molecules, which requires algorithms very similar to those used in chip design. I believe AI will revolutionize the life sciences industry, combining biology with mathematics and computer science to advance medicine. Although this transformation may take five to ten years, we are well prepared for it.”
