❶UBTECH humanoid robots move into Zeekr factory
According to the WeChat official account of UBTECH Robotics on August 5, UBTECH Robotics (09880.HK)'s industrial version of the humanoid robot Walker S Lite officially entered the Zeekr 5G smart factory, collaborating with employees to perform handling tasks at the CTU loading and unloading station. The robot has a maximum load of 15kg and can autonomously navigate and walk with loads on different assembly lines. This is the first humanoid robot in China to perform material box handling tasks throughout the entire process. The strategic cooperation between UBTECH Robotics, Geely and Tianqi Shares will deeply integrate humanoid robots with the application scenarios of intelligent manufacturing of automobiles and parts, use technological innovation to improve the "quality" of the development of new quality productivity, and use industrial chain collaboration and ecological construction to help promote new industrialization. ❷Awinic Electronics releases a new generation of pressure sensing AFE chip AW8687x
Awin Electronics recently launched a new generation of high-precision, low-power pressure detection front-end AFE chips - the AW8687x series. The series is divided into two chips according to the number of channels. The AW86872 supports 2 analog differential signal inputs, and the AW86874 supports 4 analog differential signal inputs. This series of chips has built-in baseline tracking algorithms and DAC automatic calibration functions, and has the characteristics of low noise, low power consumption, small size and easy operation. It is very suitable for sophisticated products with strict requirements on chip size, and is of great significance to the promotion of lightweight and miniaturization of products. (NetEase News)
❸ Hon Hai's Hon Teng invested 1 billion yuan in Huayun Optoelectronics to accelerate the layout of silicon photonics applications
Hon Hai (2317-TW) subsidiary Hon Teng Precision (6088-HK) announced that it would acquire 70% of Huayun Optoelectronics for RMB 220 million (approximately NT$1 billion). This acquisition will further accelerate FIT's market layout in high-speed optical modules and silicon photonics (CPO) technology to cope with the optical communications market brought about by the surge in AI demand. Hon Teng said that Huayun Optoelectronics has the technical capabilities to mass-produce 100G to 800G optical modules. The 800G OSFP SR8 modules jointly produced by the two parties have begun to be shipped in large quantities to important customers in North America. With the addition of Huayun Optoelectronics, the development progress of optical products will be greatly advanced. (Aijiwei)
❹ Musk's Neuralink is expected to complete 10 brain-computer interface implant surgeries this year
On August 4, local time in the United States, Musk, the founder of the brain-computer interface company Neuralink, revealed in a podcast over the weekend that the company has successfully implanted its brain-computer interface device in a second patient, and he expects Neuralink to provide implants to another 8 patients this year as part of its clinical trials.
