❷ Mihoyo adjusts cloud service procurement strategy, strengthens self-built and invests in AI services
On November 5, miHoYo was reducing its purchases of cloud computing, most of which were cut for database usage, but the adjusted purchase amount was not as exaggerated as the rumored "cut in half". Industry insiders revealed that the main reason for the adjustment was cost reduction and efficiency improvement and miHoYo's strategic need to build some of its own cloud service businesses. At the same time, miHoYo also scaled back some of its businesses this year, including overseas operations and domestic community businesses. In order to meet the needs of cost reduction and efficiency improvement, miHoYo not only plans to build some cloud services on its own, but also invests in AI-related services such as large models. Previously, miHoYo's subsidiary "Shanghai miHoYo Mystic Technology Co., Ltd." had developed a large model product called "Glossa" and invested in domestic AI startup MiniMax. (Jiemian News)
