TI High Voltage Motor Control and PFC Developer's Kit [Copy link]

The TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT is a motherboard evaluation module based on the DIMM100 controlCARD. The High Voltage Motor Control and PFC Developer's Kit leverages the C2000 32-bit microcontroller family from Texas Instruments (TI) to provide a reference platform ideal for learning and experimenting with digital control of high voltage motors. The kit is an excellent comprehensive motor inverter design tool that demonstrates control of the most common types of high voltage three-phase motors including AC induction (ACI), brushless DC (BLDC) and permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM). Digital motor control methods including trapezoidal, variable frequency (V/F) and field oriented control (FOC) are demonstrated using sensored or sensorless back-EMF techniques. Users learn the design and digital control of a complete inverter design, from AC input and power factor correction (PFC) all the way to the motor drive stage and motor control.

The TMS320F280x devices, part of the C2000 family of microcontrollers, enable cost-effective design of intelligent controllers for three-phase motors by reducing system components and improving efficiency. Using these devices, it is possible to implement more precise control algorithms.
